In this paper, we introduce the localization operators associated to the multivariate shearlet transform introduced earlier in Dahlke et al. (The continuous shearlet transform in arbitrary space dimensions. Philipps-Universit & auml;t Marburg; Preprint Nr. 2008-7. 2008, The continuous shearlet transform in arbitrary space dimensions. J Fourier Anal Appl. 2010;16:340-364). Particularly, we study the trace class properties of such operators and also demonstrate that they belong to the Schatten-von Neumann class. Nonetheless, special attention is paid to the boundedness and compactness of the localization operators associated to the multivariate shearlet transform on $ L<^>{p}(\mathbb {R}<^>n ) $ Lp(Rn), $ 1 \leq p \leq \infty $ 1 <= p <=infinity. Finally, typical examples of the proposed localization operators are presented.
