Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• A conceptual soil moisture model is proposed to link UAV-based near-surface observations with root zone soil moisture for precision irrigation scheduling. • A two-layer model with soil moisture redistribution based on the Buckingham-Darcy equation and water-stress adjusted evapotranspiration provides accurate root zone soil moisture estimates. • The two-layer model is numerically stable and accurate across different root zone definitions.
