本篇叙事性综述旨在全面概述用于勃起功能障碍（ED）治疗的阴茎假体（PPs），探讨其历史演变、类型、关键进展、临床疗效及未来方向。对2000年1月至2024年4月期间发表的英文研究进行了全面文献检索，使用的数据库名单包括PubMed、MEDLINE、Embase和Cochrane Library。检索词包括penile prosthesis、penile implants、malleable penile implant、inflatable penile prosthesis、two-piece IPP、three-piece IPP以及penile implant advancements。纳入的研究聚焦于阴茎假体的研发、有效性和并发症。这些研究包括临床试验、随机对照试验、观察性研究、系统综述和Meta分析。数据通过定性及定量方法进行综合分析。自发明以来，阴茎假体已显著发展，在不可膨胀型和可膨胀型假体方面均取得重要进展。不可膨胀型假体以其简单性和可靠性著称，提供半刚性状态，对手部灵活性受限或接受挽救性手术的患者尤为有益。可膨胀阴茎假体（IPPs），特别是三件套模型，在技术层面取得显著改进，包括机械可靠性提升、抗菌涂层降低感染率以及患者满意度提高。关键创新包括开发亲水涂层、聚对二甲苯微涂层以及抗菌浸渍植入物，这些技术共同降低了并发症发生率。
