The evolution of mechatronics systems has allowed aggregating different functionalities (turning, milling and drilling) in the same machine, called a multifunctional machine tool (MMT). This paper proposes a method for dynamic resource allocation that considers the functional flexibility of MMTs to be controlled in real time. This is done by using the multiple functionalities available in MMTs that are considered for reallocating resources, ensuring the autonomy and versatility of production systems. This method uses the enhanced-mark flow graph (E-MFG) to process modelling and to implement the control sequence of functionalities, assuring flexibility to assign resources when unplanned events occur.
