Abstract

• The Sine-EDMM chaotic map is applied in encryption such that the safety and reliability of the given strategy is improved. • One novel parallel multi-image encryption strategy with high computational efficiency is put forward. • The orthogonal arrays and DNA coding are supplied for multi-threaded encryption/decryption of various images. • The parallel encryption process operates on the same image group rather than each group sequentially such that the encryption speeds and security are improved. • The decrypted image is initially presented as a thumbnail and then specific images are decrypted as needed to reduce data transmission.
