• Compressed H2 leads stationary use; liquid H2 for transport; LOHCs and metal hydrides in development. • Liquid H2 has the highest density, followed by compressed H2; LOHCs and metal hydrides lower. • Compressed H2 risks embrittlement; liquid H2 needs boil-off management; hydrides are slow. • Hydrogen transportation safety requires QRA (FMEA, FTA, ETA) and advanced monitoring.
