Abstract
En 中文
African Vulture Optimization Algorithm (AVOA) is a nature-inspired optimization technique that draws its inspiration from the behaviours and foraging patterns of African vultures. Vultures are known for their exceptional scavenging abilities and their keen sense of locating carrion from vast distances. The AVOA algorithm aims to mimic these traits to solve complex optimization problems. Since its introduction by Abdollahzadeh et al. in 2021, AVOA has attracted a lot of attention from the researchers and has been extensively used to solve several optimization problems in a wide range of fields. This is because it outperforms other popular optimization algorithms in terms of execution time, convergence rate, and effectiveness. As a result, this study's goal is to present an up-to-date survey of this topic. This study encompasses the algorithm's evolution, modifications, and hybridizations with other techniques, showcasing its adaptability and potential for synergy. Furthermore, this study highlights the real-world applications of AVOA across diverse domains, showcasing its adaptability and effectiveness in solving complex problems. As nature-inspired optimization techniques gain impact for solving complex optimization problems, this study provides a valuable resource for researchers to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the AVOA, its evolution, and its potential applications in tackling complex optimization issues across various fields.
