• A fatigue degradation function is introduced to gradient damage model for fatigue simulation. • New damage evolution law for thermo-mechanical fatigue fracture is proposed. • Multi-patch coupling for nonlocal damage field is established via Nitsche’s method. • Adaptive local refinement and cycle jump achieve notable efficiency enhancement.
