Abstract

• A new low level teamwork hybrid model based WIFN algorithm is proposed. • A new stagnation phase is added to overcome local optima stagnation problem. • The algorithm is successfully tested on CEC 2014, CEC 2017, CEC 2019 and CEC 2020 benchmarks. • WIFN is analyzed for constrained engineering design and image thresholding problems. • Experiments and statistical results show that WIFN is efficient and effective.
