Abstract

• We develop a strong-form meshless point collocation (MPC) solver for the Poisson equation in 2D and 3D. • The method supports pressure correction in incompressible flows or stream functionvorticity formulations. • Quadratic triangular and tetrahedral mesh nodes serve as the MPC point cloud without mesh quality constraints. • Support domains are defined using element connectivity; stiffness matrices resemble FEM in bandwidth. • Both direct and iterative solvers are employed to assess the method’s accuracy and efficiency. • The MPC approach scales effectively in large 3D problems, offering high computational performance.
