Abstract

Vision -based techniques provide the unique capability of measuring high -resolution dynamic data for remote monitoring of structures. In this paper, a vibration measurement method is developed based on temporal deviations and a flexible sampling strategy. The perspective change in deviations from space to time enables the detection of subtle temporal variations on structural edges. Then, the spatial sampling problem for complex edge conditions is resolved by introducing the partial area effect to the pixel -collecting process. Meanwhile, the sampling linearity and measuring accuracy are refined in an up -sampled window centered by edge coordinates. Finally, the proposed method is validated by two laboratory experiments and an outdoor test on a large-scale truss bridge, and its flexibility and practical value are verified.
