Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
Electronic learning (eLearning) has emerged as a predominant method for education and training due to its accessibility and flexibility. To overcome the limitations of the traditional Client/Server (C/S) architecture in navigation radar simulation, including its poor generality, restricted spatiotemporal utilization, and incapability of facilitating online practical training, a Browser/Server (B/S)-based navigation radar simulation application was developed. S-57 files are processed through layer extraction, boundary line removal, and classification storage to generate radar simulation data. The Douglas-Peucker (DP) algorithm is applied for data compression, enhancing processing efficiency. Echo data (e.g., shorelines and fixed objects) are generated using a scan intersection algorithm and rendered centrally to optimize drawing performance. Radial clutter scanning is achieved via sector-based clipping of double-layer transparent clutter images. Trail simulation is implemented by classifying, recording, extracting, and converting historical echo data. Simulation results demonstrate that the system is fully functional, operates stably and reliably, and is suitable for online navigation radar training and education.
