Abstract

• Binary polynomial multiplication (BPM) is extensively employed in communications and cryptography. • We propose the first integrated photonic-electronic binary polynomial multiplier (PEM) for efficient computation of BPM. • The proposed PEM has the advantages of scalability, low computation latency, high power efficiency and strong robustness. • This work provides a novel method for realizing complex digital optical computing.
