Abstract
En 中文
• Car sharing service area was divided into coherent zones with similar observed demand and user activity patterns. • A stochastic simulation model was developed and calibrated based on real world data originating from a major car-sharing operator in Poland. • An upper bond on optimization efficiency was established by solving the Mixed Integer Programming problem. • A fast ranking-based algorithm that makes relocation decisions based on predicted vehicle availability and demand was proposed. • Experiments revealed that depending on the size of the workforce, the application of the proposed solution allows to improve car utilization time by 3 %-10 %.
