• A sampling-variability-free method is proposed for stochastic dynamic analysis of high-dimensional nonlinear systems. • A deterministic high-dimensional sampling strategy is introduced to avoid sampling variability. • The DR-PDEE method is employed to characterize the evolution of response PDFs. • Analytical and numerical studies indicate the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method.
