Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
A soil moisture retrieval algorithm was proposed that effectively connects the amplitude ratios of reflected and direct signals with established models for reflectivity and dielectric properties, thereby enabling precise determination of soil water content. It eliminates the need for preliminary experiments to construct the model, thereby expediting the soil moisture estimation process and reducing reliance on in-situ data. We then proceeded to assess the degree of influence of signal-to-noise ratios at varying frequencies of a given satellite on soil moisture. In addition, we examined the disparities between different systems and extracted soil moisture at various frequencies for each system. Furthermore, unlike the dual-antenna method, this model requires minimal data storage, making it well-suited for long-term monitoring. Despite the limitation of reduced data availability from a single satellite over short periods due to elevation angle constraints, the model excels in comprehensive monitoring scenarios involving multiple satellites and frequencies.
