Abstract

• A two-stage symbolic regression method is proposed to find mathematical formulas. • A genetic algorithm is used to generate a set of terms with high quality and diversity. • A simulated annealing method is used to select a subset of terms to form an equation. • Reinforcement learning is employed to enhance the performance of the SA method. • Extensive experiments verified the superior performance of the proposed method.
