Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• Acoustic telemetry is a widely used method for research and monitoring worldwide. • Environmental sounds (Telemetry-based PAM) are recorded by the system but discarded. • We show that temporal and spatial changes in sound levels are of biophonic origin. • Telemetry-based PAM can detect fine-scaled decline and recovery of marine systems. • Telemetry-based PAM can provide an easy and affordable marine monitoring tool.
