Abstract

• A novel adaptive 5-axis toolpath densification algorithm is developed. • Nonlinear errors in real-time interpolation are compensated offline. • A speed-fitting model integrated with a local look-ahead strategy is developed. • A novel toolpath-plane-rotation optimization algorithm is developed. • Optimization strategy achieves higher form accuracy and lower vibration.
