• Quantum Genetic Algorithms (QGA) have reached the age of broad applications with Reduced QGA as the leading version. • Grover’s search in the selection step is the main source of speedup and quantum advantage. • The Thomson problem and the eigenvalue problem are the preferred routes to extend QGA usage to other physical systems.
