Industrial cyber–physical systems (CPSs) increasingly require intelligent and distributed decision-making to support real-time monitoring and adaptive control. However, conventional cloud-centric orchestration approaches suffer from high latency, limited scalability, and reduced resilience under dynamic industrial conditions. While digital twins provide a powerful representation of physical assets, most existing solutions rely on centralized control and lack autonomous decision capabilities.
