• Al–Ce co-doped BaTiO₃ nanofibres synthesized via two-step hydrothermal method. • Piezo-photocatalysis showed synergistic effect in ofloxacin degradation. • 97.9 % of ofloxacin degraded within two hours of the process. • Al–Ce co-doped BaTiO₃ nanofibres were stable and magnetically recoverable. • Various pollutants were degraded during the photocatalytic processes.
