In this paper, we address the issue of adaptive mono-component mode decomposition based on synchroextracting operator (SEO). The emphasis is on how to characterize the instantaneous frequency (IF) of each mode precisely and detect all IF trajectories adaptively. To achieve this aim, we introduce a new technology called SEO, that can provide the ideal IF representation in the framework of SEO and benefit to the decomposition of mono-component modes.
