Coupled Atomistic/Discrete Dislocation (CADD) is one of the most well-established multi-scale simulation methods. The most important challenge of the multi-scale methods is the effect of spurious forces. One of the most essential factors influencing this error is the inaccurate isotropic displacement fields generated by the dislocation segments in the discrete dislocation dynamics (DDD) domain. In this research, two anisotropic displacement fields are proposed and implemented in the DDD part of the CADD method to solve its main challenge. The proposed anisotropic CADD significantly decreases the effects of the spurious stress especially at distances farther away from the continuum/atomistic interface. Moreover, the results show that the improving effects of the anisotropic CADD are enhanced with increasing the anisotropic properties of the material. This development opens the way to solve other parameters creating coupling errors.
