• A novel three-dimensional chaotic system is developed for audio encryption. • Master-key-constrained derivation enhances input-dependent chaotic driving. • Global and local scrambling are combined in a reversible encryption scheme. • The scheme shows strong randomness and reduced statistical correlations. • Hardware tests verify feasibility under finite-precision implementation.
