Abstract

Abstract

Ensuring data confidentiality and integrity during the extensive VM transfer poses significant challenges. In addition, employing intricate encryption or steganography for their management escalates data and temporal overhead. These may result in severe data loss and operational interruptions. The transfer of substantial virtual machines significantly depletes bandwidth and induces page faults. However, despite several research efforts, these topics remain unaddressed in the contemporary literature. In addition, illegal intrusions and numerous transmission failures exacerbate these issues. This research presents an efficient technique that comprehensively addresses these important concerns. The proposed integrated solution employs three methodologies: (1) data compression techniques that reduce large VM sizes by 53.9%; (2) an innovative steganography approach to strengthen data confidentiality and integrity; and (3) an intelligent split migration strategy to prevent page faults and reduce data loss to 0.0009%. The results indicate that it reduces downtime by an additional 10% compared to current VM migration approaches. The results obtained validate their efficiency compared to other alternatives available in terms of producing higher throughputs, minimizing various transmission errors, improving data privacy, and others.
