Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
An ultrawideband comb-slot-fed symmetrical comb-groove-dielectric resonator antenna (CGDRA) for B5G/6G millimeter-wave (mm-wave) applications is presented in this letter. The proposed CGDRA consists of the comb-slot feeding and the two symmetrical comb-groove-DR (CGDR) elements, which can generate multiple resonance modes for the wideband operation. The sound-fork-shaped microstrip line is adopted to feed the CGDRA through the comb-slot. The bowl-shaped metal wall is arranged around the CGDR to enhance the gain and the 3.5 dB gain bandwidth. The proposed CGDRA is fabricated and measured to verify the design. The measurement results show the −10 dB impedance bandwidth of 95.7%, the peak gain of 8.58 dBi, the 3.5 dB gain bandwidth of 95.7% and the cross-polarization level of less than −25 dB in the operating frequency band. Due to these advantages of wide impedance bandwidth, high gain stability and low cross-polarization level, the proposed CGDRA will be an important candidate scheme for B5G/6G wideband mm-wave wireless communication applications.
