Abstract
En 中文
Microgrid market is growing throughout the world with a variety of applications, supporting electric energy needs of the customers. Microgrids may improve reliability and resiliency of an existing grid or serve as the main grid in remote areas. Depending on the purpose behind a microgrid project and potential site limitations, different methodologies may be required to design and size its components. This paper provides two different approaches in sizing DERs for grid-connected and offgrid microgrids. A sizing tool has been developed based on the proposed methods and applied to two potential microgrid sites. The results for each case will be presented in this paper.
