• Chemically disturbed zone extending ~ 100 m downward, pH plume to 12.3. • Early precipitation of brucite (Mg drop), prehnite at cement-host rock interface (Ca sink), and ettringite along flow paths ( SO42− driven). • Over 20 years, Cs-137 migrates < 100 m from the cement-backfilled logging tool, reaching trace concentration that follow Darcy pressure gradient. Most remains near the borehole, restricted by cement's low permeability. • Without cement backfill, leakage surges with faster far-field transport confirming cement's physical blockage under static porosity/permeability assumptions. • Cement reduces CS-137 migration speed by almost a factor of 10 compared to the No-cement scenario.
