• Steady-state thermal-hydraulic behavior of OPAL was analyzed using RELAP5/Mod3.2, PARET/v7.6, and PLTEMP/v4.3. • Agreement of RELAP5 and PARET predictions at two operating points (14 MW and 18 MW) assessed using relative error and FFTBM metrics. • Fuel, cladding, and coolant temperatures agree within 2.5% across the three codes. • ONBR, OFIR, and CHFR minimum values show consistent and conservative safety margins, with deviations below 8%. • Results provide a robust reference basis for future transient scenarios and coupled neutronic–thermal-hydraulic analyses.
