• Built a six-dimensional solar PV supply chain risk assessment system. • Developed an improved GM(1,1) model for risk early warning and forecasting. • Overall risk of the supply chain keeps declining but vulnerable in some dimensions. • Crystalline silicon concentration is the major resource constraint. • Future risk trends are forecasted to be stable while continued vigilance is needed.
