Abstract

• Thrombospondin-1, Sparc, and Sparcl-1 were reduced in the ADHD group. • Reduced ECM proteins were linked to executive and social function deficits. • Findings suggest glia-mediated synaptic pathology in ADHD pathophysiology. • Astrocyte-derived ECM proteins may serve as novel targets for ADHD interventions.
