Abstract

In this letter, we propose a novel method to improve the localization accuracy for an array based satellite system, where we aim at minimizing the Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLB) of the position by adjusting the attitude of the satellite. The Lie group method is adopted to provide an unconstrained representation of the rotation operation, which avoids using the conventional orthogonal matrix representation. Then the problem can be solved by gradient based methods. The proposed method has lower complexity than the traditional manifold method. Numerical simulations verify the effectiveness of our proposed approach.
