Abstract

• Flexural tests were conducted on 12 round-ended RACFSST specimens. • A finite element model was developed for such members under bending. • The RACFSST specimens exhibited higher flexural resistance than RACFST counterparts. • A parameters analysis about flexural performance of such members was performed. • Simplified methods were proposed to predict the flexural stiffness and resistance.
