Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• Five new mono-substituted anilinopyridinate diruthenium(II,III) complexes were successfully synthesised and characterised. • Crystal structures of the complexes C1, C3, and C5 reveal a lantern-type geometry. • substition at the para position of the anilinopyridinate ligands influences the lability of the axial chloride ligand. • Complex C3 shows high potency and selectivity against ER+ve MCF-7 breast cancer cells. • Complex C3 effectively inhibits the long-term survival and proliferation of MCF-7 human breast cancer cells.
