Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
This review delves into the synthesis and applications of green-synthesized iron oxide nanoparticles (IONPs), emphasizing their uniform shape, reduced size, enhanced mechanical properties, and magnetic behavior. It begins with an introduction to nanoparticles (NPs) and IONPs, nanoscience, and nanotechnology, followed by an exhaustive discussion of their unique magnetic properties of iron and IONPs-based nanomaterials, synthesis techniques, and heavy metal ion remediation methods. This review highlights advancements in the biosynthesis of IONPs using biological entities such as algae, fungi, bacteria, and plants. The comprehensive investigation encompasses a broad array of biomedical applications, including biotechnological areas (such as food analysis, protein and enzyme immobilization, and water treatment) and bioengineering fields (including biosensing, tissue engineering, and biomedicine). Finally, it discusses biogenic magnetic nanomaterials and their various applications, with particular emphasis on the removal of toxic heavy metal ions. This illustrates the versatility of IONPs in creating innovative solutions across various fields, providing readers with insights into biogenic magnetic IONPs and their multifunctional applications in environmental remediation and biomedical areas.
