Abstract

• A n+ pocket hetero-dielectric modulated double gate – double source Schottky tunnel field effect transistor (DS-DG-STFET) device designed for the detection of phantom brain tissues. • Using MoS2 channel material can be able to detect a single molecular biomolecule and an extremely promising option for low-cost biosensors. • The device tested both charged (positive/negative) and neutral biomolecules with improved sensitivity over a range of phantom brain tissues. • To analyze the device we simulated using the SILVACO ATLAS TCAD simulation tool, we evaluated a comprehensive analysis of the device performance metrics, including drain current, transconductance, cut-off frequency, gain bandwidth product and sensitivity.
