Abstract

• Mild NH4OH hydrothermal etching forms subwavelength porous nanotexture on glass • Etching rate decays nonlinearly; 1.5 h gives the optimum texture before polishing • 97.1% transmittance (400–800 nm) with haze <1.5%, supported by AFM-derived neff • Conformal PEALD AlF3 overcoat builds double-gradient index and suppresses glare
