• The structure based on Ti-Si vertical stacked obtains an average absorption efficiency of 98.00% in 280-3000 nm. • The structure obtains an average absorption efficiency of 96.5% at AM1.5. • The bandwidth with an absorption efficiency greater than 95% reaches 1760 nm. • The structure has an ultra-high thermal emission efficiency of 98.9% at 1000 K,98.7% at 1500 K,98.4% at 2000 K. • The multilayer structure can be used as a solar absorber and a thermal emitter.
