Abstract

• Using a large national data with 10 years of follow-up, this study confirms that individuals with rheumatoid arthritis experience a 1.7 times higher incidence of cardiovascular disease compared to those without rheumatoid arthritis. • This work extends existing literature by evaluating a broad range of sociodemographic, behavioral, clinical, and medication-related factors, including physical activity, sleep quality, diet, alcohol consumption, and systemic inflammation. • Stratified analyses identified differences in CVD risk across subgroups, with stronger associations observed among females, individuals younger than 65 years, and those with lower education levels
