• The integrated EC-UF-RO process effectively treats real produced water. • The treatment scheme achieves ∼100% COD and turbidity removal with >91% TDS removal. • The novel sGO-PES UF membrane shows high flux recovery and low fouling. • Treated water satisfied the pH, EC, SAR, and RSC values. • Treated water germinated green bean seeds with zero phytotoxicity index.
