• Non-specific autoantibodies are frequent in SSc without overlap but have poor clinical correlation. • Anti-RNP was the only non-specific autoantibody associated with interstitial lung disease. • Broad, untargeted autoantibody testing has limited clinical utility in non-overlap SSc patients.
