The concept of cloud manufacturing (CMfg) is discussed, as well as its core enabling technologies. A seven-phases running mode for CMfg was proposed, and the related inputs, enabling technologies and tools, knowledge and algorithm repositories, and intermediate products and results for each phase are described in detail. Two kinds of CMfg service platforms, i.e., private and public CMfg service platforms are analyzed.
