• Cluster-stabilized variable-projection DMD enables operational modal identification from noisy, nonstationary responses. • Variable-projection dynamic mode decomposition performs global sum-of-exponentials fitting with improved noise robustness. • Cross-rank stabilization with density-based clustering consolidates persistent modes and rejects spurious components.
