Abstract

• Pt–Cu co-modified SnO2 nanowires were fabricated combining CVD and puttering methods. • Pt-Cu co-modification significantly governs gas sensing behavior toward NH3 and C2H4. • P4C2 and C2P4 sensors exhibit ultra-high responses and fast response/recovery. • Distinct selectivity achieved: P4C2 for NH3 and C2P4 for C2H4 detection. • The devices enable the real-time monitoring of NH3 and C2H4.
