Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
The current article elucidates the thermal deprivation, kinetics, and thermodynamic properties during the co-pyrolysis of sugarcane bagasse and tallow from the leather industry. The study investigated the uncharted thermodynamics and kinetics of mixed SB and tallow pyrolysis using thermogravimetric analysis conducted under nitrogen at heating rates of 10, 20, and 30 (°C min−1). Kinetic parameters were determined via the model-free fitting approach. The results showed that tallow pyrolysis demands the highest activation energy at 137.24 kJ mol−1, followed by sugarcane bagasse at 109.76 kJ mol−1, while their 1:1 blend requires the lowest activation energy of 77.68 kJ mol−1, as determined by the Kissinger–Akahira–Sunose (KAS), Ozawa–Flynn–Wall (OFW), and Kissinger (KGR) methods. Thermodynamic parameters like ΔH, ΔG, and ΔS were calculated to appraise the feasibility and reactivity of co-pyrolysis. This work emphasize that co-pyrolysis demands the least energy and diminishes solid char formation, demonstrating a beneficial synergistic effect of combining sugarcane bagasse and tallow.
