Abstract

• Spatial-spectral joint encoding is proposed for color image optical encryption. • A randomized wheel mechanism is used to enhance encryption randomness. • The scheme improves both concealment and security of the cryptosystem. • Feasibility and robustness are validated by both simulations and experiments.
