Carbon dots (CDs)-based room temperature phosphorescence (RTP) materials offer significant advantages normal organic RTP materials due to their mild preparation conditions and low toxicity. However, effective strategies for constructing full-color phosphorescent materials or even near-infrared RTP-emitting systems are still rarely reported. Herein, we report a series of CDs-based composite materials prepared through a hydro-thermal method, which exhibit a broad color gamu, covering fluorescence from 431 nm to 715 nm and phosphorescence from 451 nm to 800 nm. This system achieves color-tunable organic RTP spanning the blue-to-red spectral range. In addition, MO-CDs@PAM, HP-CDs@PAM, and CR-CDs@PAM composites exhibit excitation-dependent phosphorescence. Among them, the excitation dependence of CR-CDs@PAM is particularly significant: as the excitation wavelength increases from 280 nm to 365 nm, the emission wavelength gradually red-shifts, enabling a broad phosphorescence emission from blue to red. This CDs@PAM platform offers a simple yet effective route to expand the phosphorescence emission range by leveraging both the selection of CDs precursors and the tunability of excitation wavelength. On the one hand, multicolor phosphorescence emission can be achieved by doping different CDs into polyacrylamide (PAM) matrix; on the other hand, the emission wavelength can be tuned by varying the excitation wavelength.
