Solid-organ transplant (SOTx) recipients are at increased risk of rapid atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease progression. Pro-atherogenic effects of post-operative inﬂammation and immunosuppressants often contribute by exacerbating post-transplant hyperlipidemia. Current guidelines recommend decreased statin dose or intensity to prevent interactions with immunosuppressants, which may lead to undertreatment.
