In this study, two isomorphic lanthanide metal-organic framework materials, {LnL & sdot;(H2O)3 & sdot;5H2O}n(Ln=Tb(1), Eu (2)), were prepared using a hydrothermal synthesis method, where H3L is 2,4,6-biphenyltricarboxylic acid. Structural characterization revealed that both crystallize in the triclinic P-1 space group and exhibit excellent thermal stability, phase purity, and luminescent properties. To further expand their applications, the two Ln-MOF powders were respectively embedded in a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) matrix using a polymer encapsulation method, successfully producing flexible fluorescent composite films 1@PMMA and2@PMMA. Sensor performance studies showed that the 1@PMMA film exhibits significant fluorescence responses to both tetracycline (Tcn) and Cr2O72-, with detection limits of 0.53 mu mol/L and 0.61 mu mol/L, respectively. In contrast, the 2@PMMA film demonstrates selective recognition only for Cr2O72-, with a detection limit of 0.56 mu mol/L. Mechanistic investigations indicate that the performance differences arise from distinct quenching pathways: the response of 1@PMMA to Tcn involves a synergistic effect of static and dynamic quenching, while its response to Cr2O72-is mainly attributed to the inner filter effect; in contrast, the recognition of Cr2O72-by 2@PMMA is governed by an adsorption-assisted dynamic electron transfer process. Compared to the powder materials, the composite films possess enhanced environmental stability, excellent reusability, good portability, and low cost, providing a highly promising new platform for the rapid on-site detection of Tcn and dichromate in water.
